Achievements; Mommy's OCD

Last week Dakota came home from Awana Cubbies with such joy and excitement. She ran in to show me she earned 2 more patches for her vest. She asked me if I could put them on right away. Of course I did and asked her if she wanted me to take a pic. She was so proud! It's so awesome our church offers the Awana program which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed which is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Dakota learns, memorizes and recites scripture to her Cubbies teacher. She's rewarded with these patches. We're so proud of her!

Okay so tell me if I have OCD or not?...okay n/m I already know I do! This picture just shows I might alreay be passing it down to my 20 mo. old. Sawyer now refuses to sit in her highchair. She has to be a big girl and sit at the table with sister. Every morning she has cereal with her sister. She tends to spill her milk everytime too. Well I've been noticing she asks me for a napkin everytime. She uses it to wipe her mouth and the spilled milk from her bowl. I think of this as a good thing but now she'll walk around with her napkin or a wipie and clean everything from the tile floors to her play kitchen. Oh well I guess it's just less for me to clean right!?!

Move over Tiger, Watch out Angelina

Ramon bought Dakota a set of golf clubs last summer assuming she's going to like golf and want to play in college someday. While playing outside the other day, she got her clubs out, set the ball down and swung nicely hitting the ball 3 times in a row. Ramon's looking forward to this nicer weather so he can finally go out there and play again with Dakota.
As for Sawyer she's quite the character. Her favorite word lately is "no". But she says it so soft and sweet. She loves to dance and do and say everything that her big sister does. The other day we dropped Dakota off at school, she and Sawyer have the same little lunch bags. Well Sawyer wanted to walk in with hers. Poor thing, she thinks she gets to stay with sister.

Household Cleaners

Okay so here you have it! I'm sharing this little secret with you. Kirkland baby wipes aren't only convenient for wiping little bottoms or messy faces but now you can add them to your pile of cleaners. After having our carpets and couches cleaned last spring the cleaner said to use a wipey for spills on your couch. Having dealt with a baby that had acid reflux and spit up formula everywhere this was good news. So I took it to the next level. I thought, "hey, if this will wipe up stuff on the couch, what else can it do?" So I began testing. The one thing that amazed me was when I used them on my white refrigerator. I've tried a couple of things to clean it but nothing compared to the wipey! It's been the one thing that got the really deep dirty grime on the crevices of the handles. Not only are these wipies cheap, they come in bulk and are at Costco. Gotta love 'em!

Espinoza Happenings

Last month was full of fun and exciting events. First off Dakota went on her first date...with her daddy. Ramon took her to the Father/Daughter Valentine's dance. She looked beautiful and had a blast. Ramon said they danced all night. I'm so glad they did this together. Now we can look forward to it every year. Soon Sawyer will get to join.
Next, though Ramon committed his life to Christ 12 years ago, he was recently baptized at our church. We're so proud of him!
What would February be without the Amgen tour coming through town. Ramon got to follow the riders for 4 days. He went up to Oakhurst, home and around Cambria. Dakota's class got to watch them ride by their school. "Soy" and I caught a glimpse of it down the street from home. What fun!
Ramon finished coaching youth boys basketball. My brother in law started the B3 Elite basketball league and Ramon signed on to coach. He had a great time. His team lost every game but their last one. The boys were never down and were so excited when they won their last game...it was priceless! So many parents couldn't believe Ramon was out there coaching when he didn't have any boys himself. Mommy, DK and Soy were out there every Sat. to cheer the "Blue Devils" on!
And last, we can't leave out Sawyer. She continues to entertain us. She's always at mommy's side and trying to keep up with sister.

Roubaix or Ridley?

Okay so I've been asked to share my opinion with my husband between two roadbikes. So I started to give my advice...like"these colors look good together and doesn't your jersey match that one". Me being the conservative saver (others might call me a "hoarder") give the only logical answer, "well of course get this one b/c it's half the price of the other one". Settled, right!?! Wrong! I never knew the purchasing of a road bike would be so complicated. Terms like dura ace, crankset, etc. have become new words in my vocabulary. If none of you know what I'm talking about or don't care to, just know this has become quite comical in our household. What's next?...Now I'm interested in purchasing a roadbike. So will it match my eyes or should I make sure I have the right crankset?....stay tuned!

I did it!

I did it! I started my own blog. After much thought and way too many reality shows later I've decided to invest my "free" time a bit more wisely! I figured this would be a great way for me to share about life, my 2 little girls, Dakota and Sawyer and "The Ramon" on occassion. So here you have it...I hope you enjoy!
